Jace turned 2!

On November 16th, my baby turned 2. We decided to have a low key dinner at our house with just our little family. We invited the grandma's as well. I made Jace's favorite foods for dinner; homemade chicken nuggets (which I should make more often, they are way healthier and yummier than the fast food joints we hit up when we are on the run, and the kids liked 'em better!) some fresh green beans, an orange sherbet slush and grandma Whitear brought Jace's favorite breadsticks. I also made the chocolate cake we make for every occassion. The recipe has been passed down in Dallin's family for years and it's definitly a favorite of ours. I tried to be creative and bought two Buzz Lightyear Spaceship cake molds to go along with his 'Buzz Birthday' It said one cake mix for two pans. So I listened to the instructions instead of my common sense and filled them up with the cake batter. It seemed like way too much batter in each pan...Within 15 minutes of baking they were bubbling all over the oven and his Buzz cake was ruined. :( Dallin was awesome and whipped up a whole new cake, which isn't fast since it's from scratch! He put it in a normal cake pan this time and it turned out great. We just threw his Buzz candles on top and he liked it just the same!

Doing his after dinner stretch. :) Don't mind his dirty shirt. After eating the buttery green beans, he used his shirt as a napkin.

I decided to get Bentley a little something too, so he wasn't feeling left out. It was worth it just to not have pouting or fighting on Jace's Birthday.

They both loved their Zhu Zhu pets.

In this picture, it's hard to tell who's birthday it is. Bentley was just as excited and luckily, Jace didn't mind sharing the excitement.

Happy Birthday Jacer.

Hello?...anyone there?...

It's been FOUR months since I've blogged. I just kinda lost the desire around the holidays...But it's slowly coming back. I started creating one huge post but that got overwhelming and I decided to take it one post at a time. So I'll start where I left off...with the end of October.

Oh how I miss this green grass and blue skies. I'm counting down the days till spring! The boys and I love to be outside playing!

We decided to have a last minute, backyard camp out. We were outside one evening while Dallin was helping Bentley shoot his bow and he said, "Dad, can we go camping?" I was feeling bad because it was obviously too late in the evening to go camping and it was way too late in the year anyway. But to my surprise, Dallin said, "SURE! How about we set up the tent right here in the backyard? We'll build a fire and have hot dogs and smores too!" Bentley was soo excited! You know those moments when you watch your husband be a good dad and it makes you fall in love again? Ya, I had one of those. Dallin and Bentley set up the tent while I ran to the store. We had a fun night around the fire and a cold night in the tent. I won't lie, Jace and I headed in around 3am, but Bentley and Dallin stayed till about 7:30am.

Jace spent most the night texting. Starts early these days.

Ok, so funny story. Bentley had his Preschool Halloween Party where he got to dress up and take a "spooky, creepy or scary treat" That is what the note from Preschool said! There's only 6 kids in his class, so I decided to make these severed fingers I saw off my friend, Trudy's blog. Seemed easy enough. Actually they were a pain in the butt because they were hard to mold and stuck all over my hands. Anyways, Bentley thought they were cool, so it was worth it. When I went to pick him up, they all had these plates with 6 different treats. One from each kid. (All of them were store bought or very CLEAN treats) Then there's the treat Bentley brought sitting on the plate looking like a blob of cat poo. The peanut butter kind of melted into a gooey mess with the strawberry jam squished everywhere. In my defense, I assumed the kids would be eating their treats in class so I didn't think about how they would transfer... I can't imagine what the other mom's were thinking when they saw all these candies and cookies and then my blob of poo. That is honestly what it looked like! I know I would have thought, "WHO made these???" Whatever, I had good intentions. :) I seriously laughed about it all day.

On Halloween night, we went up to Mike and Cam's house so the cousins could go trick or treating together. We had fun, but got wet! It rained on us the whole time!

The boys were Transformers. Jace was Optimus Prime and Bentley was Bumble Bee.
Yes, that was Bentley's idea.

Watch for lots more posts to come...if anyone is still reading!

Field Trip!

Bentley had his first little field trip with his pre school class. They went to Pack Farms Pumpkin Patch and learned all about the different pumpkins, gourds and squash. They ran through the Hay Maze, picked a pumpkin and said Hi to the horses. He had such a great time! So did his tag-a-long brother Jace!

He means business.

Dollar Tree

I was at the Dollar Tree the other day looking for a black poster board. I wanted to make little black bats to hang from my chandelier over my dining table. I picked up a couple black crows to add to my Halloween decor. I put one on my mantel and it's my favorite part now! And it was a dollar! I love cheap finds like that.

Wierd

So I've been trying to be more consistant with my blogging as you can see by all my recent blog posts! I was messing around with the design page trying to change things up a bit, it's been a long time since I've done that and blogger has revamped their settings and design stuff so I was clicking on all these new things trying to figure it out. I clicked on 'Stats' and you're able to see which sites most often visit your blog, how many times, what country they are from, etc. Well I clicked on the 'All time' button which shows you the total number. It really freaked me out when I saw that 10 different countries are viewing my blog. I don't know anyone outside the United States, so that really wierded me out. If you haven't checked that out yet on your blog, you should! I'm going to be going private in the next week or so, as soon as I figure out how to do it! So if you're not a wierdo from a foreign country, leave me your email and I will send you an invite. :) Even if we are just blogger friends and want to continue to check in, leave your email in the comments! This will allow me to post more personal information/pictures of our home or other stuff knowing that only fellow mommy bloggers and friends are checking in.
I'm officially joining the 'Private bandwagon'

These two know how to have fun

We were able to go to Lagoon for Dallin's company party. Free tickets + free food = good time!

This was Jace's first ride ever and he has a look of panic at this point.

But when it was over, he wanted to go again!

When they're not fighting, they sure are cute!!

My cute boys

Gotta love the splash pad. Fun & free again!

The boys and I headed to the Party on the Blvd. the other week and had some more fun...for free! We only had to buy our food! I think I have a trend going on...

My cousin, Courtney and her cute baby

He's so cute, you'd never know he beats up on his older brother.

And he's fearless! He climbed all the way up this 20 foot wall with the big kids.

Bentley with cousin Donavin and 2nd cousin Ashton. (He's my cousin's little boy, so is 2nd cousin right?)

The boys liked all the cool cars in the car show.

Nothing like an otter pop on a REALLY warm Autumn day.

Like I said, These two know how to have fun!
